Reported the message received from Rajya Sabha that at its sitting held on the 16th July, 1998, Rajya Sabha adopted a motion to join the Committee of both the Houses on the Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes for the term ending on the 30th April, 1999 and had elected members of Rajya Sabha: Shri Gandhi Azad, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, Shri Sanatan Bisi, Shri Mohd. Azam Khan, Shri Govindram Miri, Shri Rajubhai A. Parmar, Shrimati Jayaprada Nahata, Shri C.P. Thirunavukkarasu, Shri Sukhdev Singh Libra, Shri Jhumuk Lal Bhendia.
