Madam Speaker made reference to the passing away of Shri Bibudhendra Misra, member, 3rd Lok Sabha and death of
more than 6 persons and missing of several in flash floods and landslides in Kerala due to heavy rains. The Speaker also made references to the 70th anniversary of the Quit India movement launched on the 9th August, 1942 and the 67th anniversary of the dropping of atom bombs on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki
